Half-Life: Alyx is undoubtedly one of the most immersiveexperiences I have encountered since I began playing video games in the late1980s.  From the moment I entered City 17in VR using my Samsung HMD, the level of immersion was truly impressive.  Although I lacked sufficient space to walkaround, utilizing the controls from either a seated or standing position feltnatural, unlike other virtual games I have played previously.  Valve has excelled with this game, setting newstandards for future releases.  This gamecame at the perfect time during the start of the pandemic.

The games balance between eerie quietness and intensefirefights was particularly noteworthy.  Thesound design significantly contributed to the overall experience.  I am genuinely looking forward to more VRgames from Valve and further additions to the Half-Life series.
