Related: Mortal Kombat: Defenders of Earth Realm
I have recently started my first mod called Mortal Kombat: Defenders of Earth Realm located here, http://mods.moddb.com/3899/.

We are currently hosted at www.freewebs.com/mkdoer. I am looking for a better host but you can reach our forums here. I am looking for staff and I have prioritized them.

We are looking for staff; our top priority is listed below:

Top Priority Staff to get:

  • modelers (modelers who can model people/playable characters)

  • skinners (dont need to unwrap but it would help if you can)

  • uvmappers/unwraps (if you can unwrap but nothing else then you are still welcome to join the team)

  • webdesigner/webmaster (if you can make a real mortal kombat layout for us and wish to join the team and maintain the site please apply)

Least Priority staff:

We don't need these yet but if you wish to apply to fill positions then I will be greatly obliged.

  • modelers (static modelers such as buildings & bridges etc)

  • weapon modelers (people who can model melee weapons such as swords etc)

  • sound artists (people who can make sounds that are realistic & voices such as Scorpion's GET OVER HERE speech)

  • 2d artist's/gui/hud artists (people who can do these listed)

  • mappers (don't need just yet as the mod is for Half Life 2, again if you wish to fill a position please apply)

  • character animators (people who can animate characters and fight sequences)

  • coders (same with mappers but if you know how to code please apply)

  • I currently have 1 modeler and 1 2d artist so if you can help please apply at MortalKombatdoer@msn.com.

Ok people, here is the semi-big news post I promised you a few days ago! I am proud to present you all with images of our Team Only Alpha 2! This is a semi-complete version, which is mainly used to show off the HUD.

    Ingame screenshots.

I am also making a new announcement: We have cancelled the public release of Alpha one. Why? The entire team discussed it, and we feel that releasing an alpha is usually to show off technical and graphical features - and while we will be using semi-new features like the Tron glow effect, bump mapped textures, detail textures - and more, its just doesnt make sense to release the alpha. Our first release will be a Beta, and it should come in a few months.

I will be hiring Beta Testers soon, so get your resumes ready (dont send them yet!) for when I announce it in a few weeks. Thats it for now, keep watching for future update. :)

(And for those of you wondering, the map in those images is TEFP_Aftermath, made by vashTS.)

In May 2004 the Cyberathlete Professional League started expanding the executive staff of the organization. Commencing with Scott Valencia, former executive director of CompUSA's national gaming division, and now Operations Director of CPL. Followed by Joseph Ahn, former co-founder and Vice President of WCG North America, and now CPL's Business Development Director. The league also assigned Justin Blanchard as Commissioner; and Tom Gardner as Managing Director of its wholly-owned subsidiary the Cyberathlete Amateur League.
Today, the CPL announced the appointment of Matthew Jones as Online Commerce Director to help manage the league's growing Internet-based transactions efficiently and securely.

Matthew Jones has spent the last decade designing and implementing secure Internet applications. Matthew was one of the original founders of the Go Network, a collection of community content sites sold to Walt Disney in 1997. Matthew also founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of NetFire.com, an Internet Service Provider recently acquired by Speakeasy. Over the years he has developed and provided secure Internet solutions for Pharmacia, Novell, Mack Trucks, Oracle, Whirlpool, and Ritz-Carlton. Matthew currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for iTransact, Inc, a financial services company specializing in secure Internet-based payment technologies. He holds a BS in Business Management from UVSC.

A new render of the MALP and an interview done by the folks over at FPS Central:
Just thought I would update you all on the status of our modelling. we now currently have the DHD, P90, Stargate, MALP, mounted machine gun and some of the props, i.e. desk's, infirmary beds, all modelled and are currently working on some more. here's a picture of the MALP to keep you all interested for now. hopefully we will be releasing some more images soon and will keep you all posted.

FPSCentral Hi there, so introduce yourself and tell us what role you play in the Stargate: Broken Oath mod.

Neo_ad: Well my role is Head Project Leader to over see everyone on the team, you might say the one that keeps us from going round in a never ending circle of they want to do this until the big foot comes down. I also tend to make the final decision to stop us going crazy J. I also head up the mappers section too, so all in all I am very very busy with the mod in my spare time J

Zeuss: Im Zeuss, the Co-Leader, of Stargate: Brokenoath with Neo_ad (although he is the true leader if you want stuff done), I also map, and hopefully code as well.

I have not been able to work on all of this as much as I would have liked to. Between school and work it is hard to put all of my energy in this. I should now have a bit more time.

I still want to create this mod but in order for that to happen I need some help. If you are a modeler, concept artist, or a sound artist please e-mail me at mjcs@hlgaming.com with information about yourself and if you can some past work/examples.

In case you didn't already know, you can now download the Dawn Of War demo to keep you happy until the full game is released at the end of this month. Looks like this is the best official Warhammer 40K game to be released so far, so well worth checking out.

As for BG40K, we're not dead - we're just still waiting for HL2 to be released. Both Acidbird and myself have been working on fine tuning some aspects to the design document, so development 'should' be as smooth as possible when the time comes. That's all for now.

    Long time, no updates =)

But today we've got some weapon renders from Doboy/Joe, first off there's the small shield aka the buckler, then we've got an updated version of the flail, followed by the double sided heavy axe, heavy axe, shortbow and tall shield. Enjoy!

Hey guys, I knows its been a long while since we've informed the community of what were doing on the main site, but on the forums we've been keeping you updated.

Basically our coder has a small checklist of what needs to get fixed or polished, then we will continue on getting final map builds. Once that is complete we will do one more run of beta testing. After, we will proceed with any fixes that need attending to, and once all of that is done, we will probably release.

On another note, we've been updating all of our weapons with new skins and new animations. This will drastically improve the look, and the animations will actually improve the function of the mod.

Stay tuned for a large update of all our weapons within the next week or two!

Please list here what you would like to see in this next version, or what you would to see tweeked

Please provide screen shots - where you can - as these work better then words, and we will talk about them, and see if they can be done

Enity optimsion code, that has be talked about, IS going to be part of the ce1, but it will most likely only work for Natural-Selection at this point in time

The rad code, is geting a look at, to see why its running 1.5% slower, comapred to the p14 tools, other then that, the team wants the mapping communitys ideas on what to include in the ZHLT 1.7.2.5.3.p15.5ce1
