Hostile Intent Education Nights will start next Tuesday the 21st of September. We will guide new players around two maps each HI Education Night and show them the objectives and give them a brief on the correct way to play HI. The first maps will be hi_alandalus and hi_hotel.We will follow this rough schedule for both maps:We will also switch sides and if needed go over NATO and TANGO strategy upon each team switch. All help from experienced players are welcome untill the server becomes full. Once it becomes full regulars will be asked to leave to make room for the new players of the game.

As many of you have noticed, there are some strange bugs on a few HI 1.3.5 servers, most notably a problem where the guns seem to only fire a small number of rounds before they are empty. These bugs are present on Linux servers only, due to some compiler related issues. Fortunately, I have a fix for this (thanks to kulfaangaren for testing it).For those Linux server admins who have already updated to version 1.3.5, download this small patch. The already released 1.3.5 Linux server files will be updated on our mirrors soon, so people who have yet to download it will not have the same problems.

We have four new pieces of concept art available for veiwing:I must say, the first two pieces are looking particularly awesome, not to put down the Belluci Soldier concept, which is also excellent.

Hey guys, I knows its been a long while since we've informed the community of what were doing on the main site, but on the forums we've been keeping you updated. Basically our coder has a small checklist of what needs to get fixed or polished, then we will continue on getting final map builds. Once that is complete we will do one more run of beta testing. After, we will proceed with any fixes that need attending to, and once all of that is done, we will probably release. On another note, we've been updating all of our weapons with new skins and new animations. This will drastically improve the look, and the animations will actually improve the function of the mod. Stay tuned for a large update of all our weapons within the next week or two!

As you well know, several people have been working on revamping FLF. We wanted to inform you of some work being done on some of the current flf maps, namely the coversion of flf_hill to flf_fallujah. As Sunspot was in charge of this endeavor, here are some thoughts straight from the source:"Fallujah is a remake of the classic flf_Hill map. There are several features which I will explain…Points: Police Station, Safe House, and MosqueSecondary: Factory Crates, Tunnel, and Baghdad Bob’s Bargain Bin :)Roadside bombs: +use the det packs to activate a 5 second delay, then run! In FLF2.0 these will award team points for killing attackers, or attacker team points for defusing them. Currently anyone can detonate them and they kill anyone close to them. These can be used to your advantage! You must cap the Police Station to open Mosque doors, and Cap the Safe house to open mosque gates. The secondary points open various routes, in particular one unlocks the Safe house.Random Events: There are a couple random events that happen, which either open a particular route, or hinder access to a common path. The idea being the map may not use the same strategy 2 rounds in a row. This is an Alpha version and before getting too deep into it I wanted to see how it plays so far. Any and All Comments are welcomed, (provided you don’t talk bad about my mother) There are a few textures that need fixed etc.. and I know about these. I really want input on how it plays. Investigate all routes and try to get a strat and let me know!"omega has created a new Bink video for your viewing pleasure which demonstrates some of the new features in FLF2.0, you can grab it HereTesting is ongoing, and there will be a public play test coming shortly. Keep checking back for more updates and information.
