Sorry for the delay but i'm still waiting for the map needed to do the video. Soon as I have it, i'll take a day and film the thing, then send it off to be edited, and it'll show up on the site shortly after.

Another thing I'm working on personally at the moment is redoing the entire images page so it's a bit more organized and not as cluttered as it currently is.

A few surprises should show up there as well.

Keep watching. Work is being done. This delay is in everyone's best interest. Trust me.

At the very least you'll see the video before the end of the month.

TF2 is definitely one of the next things on our plate. We're going to have a MOD expo here in Seattle, and spend some effort for a while getting the SDK in shape and working with the MOD community. Continuing support and content for CS:S is also high-priority. What's Half-Life 3?

Games Fusion has released the first beta to their new line of replacements pack for Counter-Strike: Source, Fusion Pack CS Source. The first pack includes a re-coloured terrorist model, a new muzzle flash and will replace a majority of the weapon and radio sounds. This series of beta’s aims to provide consumers with gradual replacements for Counter-Strike: Source. The first version hopes to provide a full replacement for the game and a totally new experience, similarly to what the Fusion Pack has done for the original Counter-Strike MOD. Games Fusion will be releasing the beta’s over the course of the next few months and will contain replacements for sounds, sprites, models and graphics! You can download the first beta from here.

There is a website floating around that "claims" to unlock Half-Life 2.

DO NOT submit your Steam account user name and password to this site!

Valve will NEVER ask you to enter your user name and password in a website.

If you see any threads in these forums that link to that website, use the

KPH2 is a Comicly unfocused modification of
Half-Life 2 and its sexy (almost too sexy) source engine.
Grab your crowbar, load a sixpack into your esky, and get ready to once again take down the GMAN, still bent on taking over the world. GOT BEER? WE DO.

MechMod's version for Half-Life 1, which will soon be out in the public's hands (or hard disks to be precise), is a stepping stone towards something much bigger. We have put a lot of effort to try and make our HL1 version's only release as pleasing as possible in terms of graphical advancements and mecha action. So we now present Step 1 of 3 of our release process, a video demo to the 3D water effects that MechMod has to offer. Pushing the boundaries of the Half-Life 1 engine? Our lead graphics programmer, Jason, certainly tries to - as he is the main man to credit behind our graphics.

The following screenshot is a small teaser to the graphical goodies that you guys will see when we release soon. You can see the new water (a little only though), the new blur, the new glow, pixel shading madness, 24-bit textures, and best of all - this works on both ATI and nVidia cards. There are also lots of CVAR's to customize the amount of blurring/glow and other options - or you could just turn everything off!

-------------------------------------------------------------

Remeber to keep browsing our forums and hang around our IRC channel - we release things ahead of our website in those two places. :-) Keep watching for more updates coming very soon! Will the madness never end?

Our lead 2D Artist, SSJS, has been pumping out work for us left and right. Our forum regulars have already seen some of these in the Dev Journals, but here's 4 of our most recent 2D work:

(Class Select Screen / Team Select Screen)

(Steam Splash Screen / MechMod:HL2 Website Design)

All three screens are currently ingame, thanks to our lead graphics programmer, Jason, who implemented the above in OpenGL.

Is this a joke? Certainly not. MechMod has just about completed all development for it's Half-Life release and now needs Beta Testers to play the game to their heart's content. One may ask, is there a catch to this? There certainly is! The catch is that we are only interested in recruiting serious and experienced testers. You must satisfy each of the following prerequisites:

* You have experience with officially beta testing a game or modification.

* You have a keen eye for detail and like experimenting around.

* You are able to express yourself in mature and understandable English.

* You are a frequent user of IRC, or will not have a problem using IRC if you don't.

* You use AIM (AOL Instant Messenger), or will not have a problem using it if you don't.

* You feel that you will be able to dedicate a minimum of 10-14 hours per week for beta testing during peak periods (pre-release) and about 2 hours per week during inactive periods.

* You are a team player, and have no problem working with other people and communicating efficiently.

The above may sound daunting to some, but after the application and interim period, beta testing is actually a lot of fun. To apply, please reply to 'this thread' (this news post if you are viewing the forum) with the following information:

Nickname:
Full Name:
Age:
URL's to Games/Mod's I have tested:
Operating System:
Processor Speed and make:
RAM and type:
Graphics Card:
Team member(s) that know me [optional]:

The second post of the application thread will show you an example of how you need to reply. We thank you for your interest in advance, and good luck with the application!

Ok well its not really a new site but it does look a little better. I am currently working on a new design that will take about 2-3 months to complete. In the time being, here is the updated layout.

I am aware that the POTD system is currently offline. I need to go through my php code and find where I messed up. Thanks
