Hello, we need help, we have a team but not a decent name, so we need a name for the website (hosted right here at half-life gaming)Here is the low-down on the modHi, I haven't posted here before (or on any other Gamespy forum for that matter) but I would like to announce a new mod for Half Life 2.This isn't an ordinary mod, me and my team (6 people so far, we would apriciate any more people who want to help out) belive that this mod is truly original (ie not even a real game has been based on the idea) and it will do well in the Half life mod community.Ok, enough of the chat, this mod is based 50 years from now when Global warming has melted the polar ice caps and the gulf stream has dissapeared so the whole climate becomes extremely unpredictable, storms at any time, flash floods that could appear in seconds and the sudden change from summer weather to freezing artic conditions. On top of all that there is a massive band of asteroids that have broken off from the asteroid belt near jupiter and is heading straight for earth which has a current population of 27 Million hiding in small communities in shelters running out of supplies. Conflict between these groups are frequent as they fight their way to the nearest supply base and get as much food water and ammo as they can and eliminate any ressistance just to ensure their survival lasts a few more days, with all the natural disasters going on around them it will be mission impossible but hey, people have to survive somehow.ThanksCN:Armageddon bossP.S This mod has been given the Codename "Armageddon" for obvious reasons but we need a good name.I will check back tomorrow

Hurricane Ivan continues to prowl the Caribbean. Ivan slammed through the Windward Islands yesterday taking a direct hit on Grenada. Damage on the island was extensive as winds gusted to at least 116 mph. The violent hurricane is churning on a course slightly north of due west and will swirl by just north of the ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao). Ivan appears to have Jamaica in its sights for Friday and Cuba after that. Florida, unfortunately, can't be erased from Ivan's target list, either. The threat--if it materializes--to the Sunshine State wouldn't come before late Sunday or early Monday, so there's still plenty of time to track Ivan and refine its projected path. Keep watching it close from Florida to the Gulf of Mexico.Although we HAVE found Andy Hodges safe and sound, he is a still a little worse for the wear. We cannot say what is going to happen yet but we have been asked to leave all of the plywood up until we know for sure the final path of Ivan. We are further plagued by power outages throughout this area. We have power in a few areas but ther are nowhere near restoring power to the station yet. We have started rebuilding and now have to watch as another swirling cloud of disaster looms ever nearer. As soon as we know what the broadcast week is going to be like, we will let you know right here! Keep checking back!Additional Note: The word is that we won't have power out at the station for at least 5 days. It's kind of eerie down here. The power at our hotel is on and off, and there is nothing on the air here...no radio or t.v. at all. And to top it all off, Ivan has been upgraded to a Cat-5 and has taken a turn north on a direct course for us. This is really getting bizarre!! So for the time being, we cannot have a show until we get power back, possibly next week, 9the servers are on generators but not the station).
