Big welcome to all who've just discovered Bloodthirst and a welcome back to fans already following our development progress and waiting for this big update, and here it is! Today, as you might have already noticed, we're releasing several things...

Firstly, the website. The Bloodthirst website has been upgraded and updated in all the ways. We've remade all the graphics and improved the layout a little bit to provide you with a much more fulfilling browsing experience. The website is also updated to PHP and will have a few good scripts running in order to make updates that much more easier.

Secondly, we're releasing the design document to the public. This is a special design doc that's been worked on and updated especially for you. It has all the in-depth information you might want without getting too technical and difficult to read. Although this isn't the complete design doc, it is a good in-depth overview of the game and we feel this is a great way of sharing all our ideas with the public so we can get much better feedback and input. You can grab it from the Files section or simply use the direct link here.

Last but not least is the first Bloodthirst weapon model and a new vampire concept. The model is of is a basic HK USP handgun for the slayers' arsenal. Currently still a raw model, I'll be posting more pictures soon when it gets skinned. The vampire picture is a bit more artistic than the rest, recreating the dark and powerful atmosphere you'll experience in the game:

So don't delay! Check out the new website, give us feedback on what you think and have a read about the design doc. We're all ears when it comes to ideas, so don't hesitate and post your thoughts in the Forums. We've also started looking for more development team members, so if you'd like to work with us, check out the recruitment information in the Talent section. Thanks for visiting and check back later because more updates are on the way!

I have recieved a few new renders of old weapons from vashTS. These models are pretty close to the old ones, except they have new and crisper skins, and have some model adjustments.

Keep your eyes peeled and stuck to this page for other updates including in-game media and screenshots and maybe some more beta information at a later time!

Related: Rise of Power
Rise of Power has a new weapon's modeler; Hellspawn. A warm welcome to him! Here's some of his work.

Please note that this mod is going to be an MMO for HL2, therefore until we know exactly what NetCode we're working with we're keeping it low-poly. :p

Stop by our forums on our brand-new site for more information and up-to-date renders and samples.

Related: ZHLT Compile GUI X²
You can now download an update for ZHLT Compile GUI X². I've taken a look at all bug reports and tried to fix the code according to the bugs reported. The changes in this update are:

-The run-time error 76 after compile should be history after installing the update
-As some of you requested: an option in the config dialog to save the wad-directory (use it at your own risk, I left saving it out intentionally)
-The "Fix problems" link in the start menu now shows a message when it's done fixing the problems
-The textbox which holds the HL start parameters in the config dialog now appears when it should

There was one bug reported that there was an error message when a map with a leak was compiled. So I created a map with a leak and test-compiled it. However, there was no error message. If anyone of you should see a run-time error 424 after compiling a map with a leak after installing the update please drop me a line.
IMPORTANT: As I wrote in the readme you can't close the program by clicking the X in the title bar after a compile is finished. This is because of the skin handling and cannot be solved, sorry. You can still close the GUI by using File->Close. Alternatively you can switch to another window of the application and click the X in the title bar there.
Now head over to the download page and get the update. Just start the .exe included in the zip file and follow the instructions on screen. Manuel's mirror will be updated as soon as possible.

Related: Eternal Silence
So, another week has gone by and since we're sitting on a huge cache of media and it's sunday, it's time for us to share some with our fans (that's you). This week we have a special treat... well 2 special treats. First off we have a few tracks from the Eternal Silence Sountrack, composed by Mike Cameron Force, our swedish music god. This is just a taste of what's to come though, because to date Mike has written over 35 tracks for us, and that figure is still growing. For those who think this is your run-of-the-mill techno mod track, you'll be surprised, because these are full orchestral tracks. Files hosted by HL2 files, our great hosts.

Eternal Silence Soundtrack - UTF Theme
Eternal Silence Soundtrack - NGM Theme
Eternal Silence Soundtrack - Main Theme
Eternal Silence Soundtrack - Infantry Theme

Our second little surprise is another chapter tacked on to the ES Story, written by X-ray. This chapter introduces Officer Gunther, the UTF character in the story. All around a great read and now in nifty PDF format.

Chapter 1 - Everett

Lastly we have some more great media from our art team. This week TDA brings us 5 great renders of the UTF Gunship Model. And here they are:

That's all for this week, but next week we will have even MORE media, yes it is possible folks. Until then...
