First off, I would like to announce our newest addition to the team, Nutzo! He is our weapon modeler, and he is darn good at what he does. So, without further a due, here are two fine pieces of his work for Curse:

Also, we are on the lookout for new team members. We need musicians, modelers, coders, texture artists, and mappers! If you think you can make a difference in this project, please apply by sending your resume, or any work or interest via email (hizzeh@gmail.com) or in our forums.

I would also like to thank every single member of Curse's community (unfortunately that is not much as of yet, but is growing by the day).
Every person counts, and if it was not for Half-Life's huge fan base, gaming would not be where it is today!

Today in Hostile Intent news:

MarmaladeMan has made a few fixes to Colombia and Depot as well as refined and released the 1.4 production plan to the team. MM has done an outstanding job with this next releases plan. It outlines everything we want to do and keeps everything in perspective.

Squad has also been working on new maps and he just released a new version to the testers to take a look at and test it. The testing should weed out any and all bugs you may find so look forward to a new outstanding map from Squad.

Black Panther has been working hard on our new P models. The plan for our new project, Hostile Intent: Phoenix Rising on Source, calls for us to use our newest V models for the Source version of the game. With the work BP has been putting into the newest P models we may even be able to carry those over as well.

You know what that means done ya? Less wait time for HI:PR.

OpticHelix, the creator of HI_Aurora, is doing some more compiles on that map to make it perfect. Hopefully it will finally be the perfect version of this map.

Swatman has joined the team. All hail Swatman and his mapping glory!

He has been working hard on Croatia so we will have a few new animated surprises for you there.

Quicksilver has been studying the half-life 2 level design process and properties to get a head start on the level design.

Rifter, who you will see working at a game company in the near future, is truly a work horse. Hes getting all new aim and pistol animations completed.

Mastermind has been working on the Co-Op mode for Hostile Intent even though school and work is bogging him down. Somehow Master always finds the time to work. He’s amazing.

And on my side of the fence I recently released the design for Hostile Intent: Phoenix Rising to the team. Its still being fleshed out but its getting to be more solid every day.

Also, the management and I are working out a better way for all of the team to communicated and keep abreast of each others progress so updates to HI and work on HI:PR will run smoothly as ever.

Also, Dreadus has joined the team as well as BioTek. Welcome guys! Now start abusing your forum powers! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Till next time,

Me.

You probaly knew it already that sands of war has his own contests on the forum sometimes...

From now on you will find a contest every month!

This means that you can win things like mod status, admin stats for a server for maybe 2 months or so.

Things like that are possible. There will be some other things to win aswell but we need to discuss more about those things with the crew first.

We got one new contest running. It's a modelling contest. All these contests will be listed in this forum
http://sandsofwar.simgames.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=20

If the topic says

RUNNING: *... Contest*
it means a contest is open atm.

If the topic says
STOPPED: *... Contest*
it means a contest is closed and we have a winner

all winners will be listed here
http://sandsofwar.simgames.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=21

The winners will be selected by the crew with a poll in the CREW forum so it will be a anonymous vote for public. But the choosing goes like this:

First week of a new month we will have a poll with max. 5 members
We will choose 3 of those members and then in the second week there will be a poll with those 3 members. the one that wins a contest will know this by email and a pm on the forum.

so when a contest is finished it will take 2 weeks before we will have a winner!

If you finished your thing for a contest you can post it here
http://sandsofwar.simgames.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=22

You can join all contests you want. if your not in the thing like modeling just wait a month for a new contest. But BEFORE entering the contest make sure you made a post in the contest topic and you have READ THE RULES!!!!

Thats it for now have fun with the contests and make sure you play it with fun!

Warzone is a Real Time Strategy mod that gives each player the command of his own army. The game pits the three factions of the Half Life universe, the Human Resistance, the Combine, and the Xen, against one another in all out war.

Our team is pretty empty at the moment and we're looking to fill it with creative, talented individuals who are interested. Please send all email, including requests to join the team, to staff@hlwarzone.hl2files.com
