The new website for MechMod:Half-Life2 is now live @ mechmod.com - and is fully functional. Please note that some of the pages (example, the about page) are prepped up for MM:HL2 which will begin development after our primary Alpha 1.0 HL1 release. Hence those pages might be misleading, please do not ask for download links as the Alpha will not be released until it is posted on the news page itself.

Hey, since I know you've all grown tired of waiting with *nothing* to keep you interested (except for our current release, of course ;)), I'm going to go ahead and give you a sneak peek at the player model from 2.2 in action.

We're working furiously to get this guy into the game and finish up, so that you can be playing 2.2 in time for christmas (hopefully earlier).

Without further ado:
http://media.digitalpaintball.net/proning.avi (requires divx/xvid codec)

Edit:
Here's a version encoded with cinepak (you shouldn't have to do anything special to get this to play)

Here are the 7 Designs for the Digital Paintball T-Shirt Design Contest. As stated the winner will get 2 of their shirt if picked, as well as $50 cash. The shirts will be long sleeve. Here are the 7 Designs. 3 of them will be picked by the # of votes and added to the finals with one of our in house designs to do one more vote for the winner. If your design is one of the top 3 dont forget to send me the psd when I contact u.

We have a working version of the Particle Engine. It can shoot water and bounce off the wall and drip down. Thanks to Omega for the help.

CS is working on sprites for each gun. After that we test and play around.

Baer and Darknight are working on code and gameplays.

Sugahighman is working on animations and GFX for the menus.

Mappers are mapping and if you hang in the forums you will some some screenshots in the mapping part of the Water Wars section.

Thanks to the AVI developers. Again I only want you to email me if you are good at making AVI's for mods and games

Besides the media the team also reports that the are looking to expand the the team with the following:

Though work comes with responsibility, we are now looking for some other skilled people. Here is a list of some needed areas of work.

-2 Dedicated Model Skinners (Must know UVW mapping. If not, we can appoint a UWV mapper)
-2 3d Modelers (Specifically someone who can model organics)
-4 Texture Artists (Must know Photo-manipulation)

Support the mod by checking out the Mod Profile. http://mods.moddb.com/1370/

m4dp1x3l has put online his Counter-Strike: Source re-skin site. There you can find a lot of great looking re colored skins for the current player and weapon models. There only recolor's and not new models or completely new skins, since the Half-Life 2 SDK has not yet been released, but that does not take away that the once being offered on the site are not great looking. You can check it all out over at m4dp1x3l's Counter-Strike: RE-Source.
